Looking Good and Saving Money

THE SUNDAY TIMES -  STYLE MAGAZINE

So I'm all about being on a budget as I'm a student. So instead of having to rake out nearly £4 every month on Vogue or Elle I started reading 'STYLE' that comes with The Sunday Times. It's a great read with a collection of high street items as well as designer. So if you already buy this newspaper then start paying attention to this little gem you might usually put in the recycling! It has a selection of tips from skin care to up-coming designers, and is great if you want to stay on top of the recent trends! It has a big thumbs up from me!

Make a Statement

New Look £49.99
Yellow Oversized blazer
It's all about the jackets in the autumn. Don't pull out those coats just yet because this is the time to make the most of those jackets.
Today I was wearing a really simple outfit, just high waisted jeans and a plain black cami and I wanted to make it more interesting without having to put it a lot of effort. So I put on my favourite Grandad cardigan which in it's simplest term has a tribal pattern (I'll upload a picture of it soon) and vuala I had an outfit!
This got me thinking about how many women out there really don't want to organise a whole new outfit everyday and quite frankly arn't bothered BUT they do still want to look good. So hears my balance. Whether it's jeans, trousers or skirts teamed with t.shirts, blouses or vests, I promise this look will work. It's also great if your not very confident with wearing 'out there' clothing but you still want to look fashionable!
Some top tips:

Tall and Skinny Girls- Wear a statement over-sized blazer over a simple little black pair of high waisted shorts and top. Trust me the shorts will sinch at the waist and still show your shape. Also put on a shoe boot and some tights and your ready to go, day or night!

Curvy Girls- Ok, so if you like your stomach and arn't afraid of wearing some tight clothing then wear a bodycon pencil skirt with a simple T.shirt (make sure it has a flattering neck line to show of your boobs) and some heels. THEN add your statement jacket, for curvier girls cropped jackets work a dream as they draw attention to your waist and your boobs. AMAZING! Get the right jacket and this could look incredible and can be worn on all occations.
So if your not such a fan of your belly then don't worry again a pencil skirt will look amazing, just make sure it's high-waisted and covers any bits you don't want on show! OR high waisted trousers that are boot-cut, this means with the extra length to the waist and a flare it will immediately elongate your legs. Never a bad thing! Alternatively for those hotter months wear a cropped trouser, just make sure they place right on the hips otherwise they can make your legs looks shorter than they are. To this outfit again add a cropped blazer or jacket, they work best on curvier girls (I've explained above.)

For any younger girls these looks will really work too, this look can be done with jeans- skirts. You can also personalise it to your own taste, whether that converse or platforms this look is so diverse. I bet you people wouldn't even realise if you did it everyday but just rotated the items!

So I really hope this helps you women who are in a rush but still want to look amazing! Trust me this is a simple way of looking good, and if you find the right jacket can save you lots of money.

Here are some blazers and jackets I've found on the internet from some high street stores. Bare in mind these are only some of my options you can mix and match to whatever suits you!

Much Love

Feels like Autumn

Colours are one of the most important things you have to keep in mind when deciding what to wear. So for those of you who think autumn and winter means a whole wardrobe of black think again. I'm a huge man of warm colours for the autumn; mustards and burgundies. Look at the colours that surround you, orange leaves, purple sunsets. This is what you have to use for inspiration. So instead of reaching for that black coat you get every year, try and mix it up. I know it's easier and that black will go with everything, but you'll be surprised that if you find just the right coat it can last you seasons. Here are a selection of coats I've found, all available on the highstreet.

Not just for Boys...

This season it's all about wearing your man's clothes. Yep ladies forget your pretty summer dresses and sparkly kaftans, and buckle up those braces for the autumn.
The fashion world is now embracing the masculine look with open arms. Tailored trousers, crisp white shirts and slouchy blazers are what it's all about on the catwalk. Alexander Wang and Stella McCartney were amungst the designers who decided to showcase this look.
Now I realise we can't all afford to splash out on the top designers beautiful pieces; so I did some rummaging of my own to find some bargain ket pieces.
This look can go one of two ways. Either go fully masculine, baggy shirts, scraped back hair and covering up those femanine curves. Or tailor wear a tailored suit, wear a pussy-bow blouse, some bright red lipstick for that femanine edge.
Either way it's a great look. My one tip would be to put up your hair in either a ponytail or a messy bun, it gives that 'I just threw this on' look.

A piece of advice, if your curvy wear a high waisted trouser and tailored crop blazer that sinches in at the waist this will result in the main piece of attention on the waist giving you that amazing hour-glass sillouette. Also don't wear a pussy-bow blouse if you have big boobs it will only make you look big. Show off your clevage with a simple crisp white shirt tucked into those high wasited trousers.
If your lacking in the curve department don't worry, either embrace it and go for the oversized look or wear that pussy-bow blouse and high waisted trousers to give the illusion of that curvy figure.

Topshop £58

ASOS £8
Here are some pieces I found that are all under £60. There are loads and loads more peices on these websites, other places that are great to search are Very.co.uk, Debenhams and Warehouse. Remember this look doesn't just have to be for night and can be rocked during the day also. Add a skirt or coloured shirt trust me there is an unlimited amount of ways you can wear this look.
So get out those bow-ties ladies and embrace our inner masculine selves. Trust me you'll look sexy!

Until Next Time,

Starting Off

Hello and welcome to my first ever fashion blog!

Now this post is mostly going to be about introducing myself and what this blog is all about. My name is Georgia Grace Hunt and I'm wanting to start styling. This blog is going to be used to showcase new looks I create as well as things that may catch my eye in the fashion world.
Overall, this blog is to give you tips on how to look your very best without having to spend a ridiculous amount everytime you go shopping. I'm not interested in just styling people my age and size, I want to broaden my knowledge on different shapes and sizes.
I hope you enjoy the blog and get some great tips from it, as well as helping me out on the start of my styling 'journey'!
